Our From Page to Stage Essay Writing Workshop, on January 11th in the Boulder/Golden area is an in-person half-day workshop for anyone who wants support writing an essay to submit to this spring’s Boulder Listen To Your Mother Show (or any other essay or story).

What to expect when you sign up…
You will arrive with a messy draft, a list of potential themes and scenes, or the seed of an idea.
You will leave with the scaffolding for a compelling personal essay you can use as your LTYM Boulder submission, a personal essay you can submit for publication, or an engaging story to tell at a story slam or brunch with friends.
In this half-day, in-person workshop, you will:
Gain an understanding of the necessary ingredients of a personal essay
Brainstorm potential topics
Distill your ideas into a cohesive story with a beginning, middle, and end
Learn techniques to connect with your audience
Discover what your story is really about
Spend time writing
Get 1:1 feedback from your instructors (Pam and Steph)
