Listen To Your Mother Boulder 2025

Mark your calendar! Boulder’s 12th annual Listen To Your Mother Show will take place on Sunday, May 4th at 4:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Boulder.

Listen To Your Mother is a live storytelling event where local writers read their original essays about motherhood—the good, the bad, and the ugly.

If you’re looking a way to celebrate Mother’s Day that truly fills your cup (like way more than a mimosa brunch every could), this is it.

Bring your mom, your sister, or your girlfriends for an event that will make you laugh cry, and nod your head in recognition.

Listen To Your Mother is also…

  • A live 90-minute storytelling show featuring 9-12 readers sharing their original 5-minute stories

  • A show that strives to include a diverse representation of perspectives, including readers of different ages, ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds

  • A mixture of poignant, funny, inspiring, and relatable stories that explore all aspects of motherhood

I’m My Therapist’s Favorite

a comedy show about the chaos in all of us

Pam and Steph are teaming up with fellow standup comic and founder of Second Chance Comedy, Joe Huisman to present this show on Sunday, April 27th at the Louisville Underground

tickets!

Ever wonder what your therapist says about you in their head? (Spoiler: they love you, but also, yikes.)

I’m My Therapist’s Favorite is a hilarious stand-up comedy show that dives deep into the wonderfully messy, slightly unhinged, and laugh-out-loud realities of being human. Featuring a lineup of comedians who aren't afraid to share their darkest, weirdest, and most therapy-worthy thoughts, this show takes an honest (and absurd) look at the stuff that keeps us up at night—and keeps our therapists busy.

From awkward breakthroughs to hilarious breakdowns, this is comedy at its most relatable. Because let’s face it: we’re all just trying to work through our issues… and if we can laugh about them, even better.

Come for the laughs, stay for the catharsis. After all, we might be a little broken, but at least we’re funny about it.

Therapist-approved (probably). Don’t miss it!

Featuring:
AJ Finney (headliner) - is a stylistically manic and artistically brilliant Midwestern storyteller with a love for the psychedelic scene of the Sixties. His comedy covers everything from family and anxiety to everyday mishaps, making his show a relatable ride for everyone. AJ has been crowned "Best of the Midwest" at Gilda's Laugh Fest, featured on FOX's Laughs, and a finalist in HBO’s Lucky 21.
Stacy Pederson (feature) is a national speaker and headlines for Moms Unhinged. She recently won best comedian in “Colorado’s Got Talent” and appears in many commercials.
Joe Huisman - is the founder and producer of Second Chance Comedy who uses his past struggles with addiction as comedic fuel, turning tough experiences into hilarious anecdotes. He has performed at Comedy Works, Comedy Fort and many others.
Pam Moore is a freelance writer, PR consultant, and Listen to Your Mother Show co-producer who has appeared on stages including Boulder Comedy Festival, Comedy Works, Gluten-Free Comedy, Moms Unhinged, Comic Cents, and many others.
Stephanie Sprenger is co-host of the Mother Plus Podcast, co-producer of Listen to Your Mother Boulder, and teaches creative writing to midlife women at The HerStories Project. She has performed with Moms Unhinged, Comedy Coven, Gluten-Free Comedy, and more.
